Reverend Sharon Pickens is a native New Yorker, was born to the proud parents of Mr. Phillip and the late Mrs. Alice Pickens.

Upon graduating from George Wingate High School, Sharon entered Hunter College, where she received B.A. Degree in Psychology and Counseling. In addition to her studies, she attended Community Bible Institute and received certificates in the following courses: Bible Survey, General Bible Studies, Post-Grad Study Music, and many other ministerial courses.

Under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. James J. Wiley, Pastor/Founder of Resurrection Temple of Our Lord, Sharon was ordained in the office of an Evangelist. She served in a leadership position in various auxiliaries, such as: Sunday School Instruction, Supervisor & President of Youth Department; Coordinator of the "Out Reach & Follow-up Radio Broadcast Ministry; Missionary Member, Choir Director and Leader. After the death of Rev. Dr. James Wiley, pastoralship was turned over to several leaders such as: Reverend James E. Hobbs, Reverend Nathaniel Kelly and currently, Apostle Wesley J. Wiley. Sharon continued to remain faithful in fulfilling her position as Assistant Pastor to Resurrection Temple of Our Lord.

Sharon along with Apostle Patricia A. Rodgers-Wiley gave birth to the Men & Women Crusading For Christ Intercessory Bible Study Prayer Group. Sharon is also one of the Assistant Pastors of Oil of Joy Ministries II, Inc., where Apostle Patricia Wiley is the Senior Pastor and Organizer. It is through Apostle Wiley's leadership and counseling and God's direction and guidance that sheis able to move to the next level in leadership.

Sharon also serves as a Big Sister of Pamoja; a Praise & Worship Team Member, Tape Ministry and Communion Ministry. She is also actively involved with a group called "Sunshine Girls". God uses them as His therapists to minister life unto His people, to edify exalt and build them up from their bed of affliction.

As a single woman, Sharon enjoys singing, praising and worshipping God, and also helping others reach their goal. She believes in putting God first in everything she does. For she is more than a conqueror, she can accomplish any task in life, because greater is He that is in her than he that is in the world.
